My 2008 Honda Accord v6 randomly started losing power and horribly jerking while driving down the road. It won't go further than a mile or two before completely shutting down. We found the catalytic converter glowing red hot. My boyfriend knocked the stuff out of them, got a new alternator and had the battery checked...still no luck . Any ideas? I'm basically a single mother with 2 children and now no way to get to and from work . Just got this car two months ago

Do you have heck engine light on? Any codes?
