94 Accord Check Engine Light
Check Engine Light On post TSTAT & hoses. The idle was "hunting" for about 5 minutes while air was being bleed out while running. Once the air was gone, the idle was normal.Post test drive, I disconnected the neg batt cable for 5 minutes, the light was still on. The only other item that could be considered is: the air resonator was left off, as the accordion connection/union is torn.I know I need to address this soon, as unfiltered air is going in. But since the car doesn't have a MAF; I don't see how/why that would create a code. Maybe. Thoughts/suggestions appreciated.
How did you bleed the coolant? Did you disconnect anything else? Just put some duct tape over the tear in the intake and see if that changes anything. I'm guessing there is still air in the system.
When bleeding air out of the coolant system there is no need to run the engine, this can actually trap air.
I have no idea where this thought process came, air in the coolant system when running may cause an overheating problem, bleed air before running the engine.
Car on level ground, turn heat level to full hot, open nipple on thermostat housing and fill system with coolant. Make sure to empty, clean and refill reservoir as well.
What is the code that is being set?
Under the glovebox look for a two wire blue connector.
Pull it out of its holder.
Jumper the connector with a wire/metal paperclip.
Turn ignition to II(ON).
Watch for CEL blinking.
Long dashes are tens, short dashes are ones.
Watch for codes, record and report back here.

The air was bleed out via the bleeder valve by the TSTAT while it was warming up. Once a good stream of fluid came out, I closed this valve. It's been a few days and the coolant level in both radiator & overflow have not shown a loss. It warms up and runs normal, temp gauge stays at half mark. Radiator & water pump recently done. Triple checked for a loose vacuum hose or missed electrical connection and found none.Today the torn air nozzle coupler (rubber boot) was replaced using a part from a plumbing supply, I had the neg battery connection off during this work. Check engine light still on, I pull codes later this week & report.
