97 civic coupe recaros seats?
i have recaro sr3 buckets for my 97 civic coupe and i cant figure out how to mount them. no im not welding my own rails. i want something proper that has sliders and all that. does anyone have a link or know if rails with sliders that will work in my car. ive heard the tenzo r racing rails work but i cant find any for sale. anyone???
If you can come up with a set of sliders that mount to your SR3's properly, you can contact Wedge Industries or "Planted" and purchase custom fabricated seat brackets that your sliders mount to and then bolt into your chassis.
You can use Honda OEM / Recaro sliders for the civic EK9 Type R. Be warned, these sliders make the SR3s sit really high compared to the factory civic seats. If you're short (under 5'10) then they'll work for you. I've got a stock set sitting in my garage, if you're interested, PM me. If you're taller then you'll need to find some "low-position" seat rails for a EK9/EK4 with Recaro SR3s. I had a set of Kansai Service Low-Position Seat Rails for EK9/4 shipped to me from Japan and they did the trick. They bolt onto the SR3, and then get bolted to the car like a regular seat rail, allowing the seat to slide back and fourth but with the added benefit of being about 3 inches shorted than the stock EK9 rails.
Correct, EK9 recaro rails and sliders will bolt right up.
I ran OEM rails in my EM1s and I'm 6'2", it's really not bad. Low rails are nice but not a necessity.
