Red brake warning light on
Hi, the red brake warning light (not the bulb warning one) on my 2000 Accord coupe V6 is always on first thing on a morning. Occasionally it will go off after about 20 minutes of driving but usually stays off once I get to work and start the car again later. I have checked my brake fluid and the level is fine. Any thoughts?
I vaguely remember something about the fluid level float (sensor) sticking causing a false low-level warning. I think the common fix was to replace the sensor in the cap. maybe someone else will have clearer details...
Have you checked your hand brake to see if that may be causing ur brake light to turn on. Sometimes even tho its all the way down the cable could be either stretched or damaged. A couple ups and downs and that should tell if its that
Thanks, I have checked that several times but has made no difference. Will check the float sensor first and report back on the results.
