Default New keyfobs for my 07' Coupe.

Looking to get a set of new keyfobs for my '07 Coupe. The one I got is looking kinda beat up and figured a new set would be nice, plus I want to use one of those ebay shells to convert it to a flip-out key. I will buy OEM-style replacement fobs for the electronics, and drop them in the flip-key shells. Plan on making 3 total for extras and backups. Would it be as simple as swap the new guts to the new shell, have locksmith cut the new keys to the original pattern and program the fobs to the car using the whole key in the ignition, click button on the key, click button in the car dance routine? I read that some trims (mine is an LX-I V6 6speed) have an immobilizer chip in the key to prevent you from just using a copied key. Does this chip get paired to the car during the above pairing process or is that a separate thing to deal with?

Pretty sure you’ll have to go to the dealership to program the key...
