1994 Accord wont engage gears and...
I have a 1994 Honda accord and I bought it when it was making a grinding noise by the starter. I figured it was just the starter stay out when car was started. It went into gear at that time to move it. once I got it on the trailer it hit the bottom and it never engaged in gear again. Its automatic. I checked the linkage. it was fully together for it was unexposed. Now when i start it there is no grinding but it wont go in gear. Also it will not rev passed 2500 rpm even with a new computer. What the heck is going on with this thing?
I also had all these codes going in it. 1,3,4 7,8,13,14 but when i changed the computer all gone. I also had to change the distributor. I keep reading maybe something is loose or a bad connection. Also perhaps dirty solenoids but i checked it also and clean but i didnt check the lock solenoid that is if its different the the solenoids that stick up out of the transmission more north on the tranny.. didnt take the lower ones off. So im thinking ill drain the fluid, check the plug magnet for metal and if so then its probably toast and if not then idk. Is it hard to rebuild?
anything helps especially if you experienced this
