91 CRX tail light bulb socket rusted

91 CRX tail light bulb socket rusted
My tail light brake bulb socket is rusted to hell. How should I proceed to fix it? Plan to go to a u pick parts yard for a socket, but if a EF car is not available, will other honda car sockets work?

i had that same problem happen to me
last year
it even blew a fuse because my bulb shorted out
i got a harness at the junk with both brake and turn signal sockets
i cut the brake socket and soldered it into my harness and fixed my problem
i do have one left over
if your interested let me know
and as far as other cars that it could come off of
i cant say
but hay take your bad socket and go to the junk and try it on other cars
you might get lucky
