i'm lost right now. i'm trying to figure out why when i put a new coil in it will run great until it has had some time sitting in the driveway then its back to a no start. funny thing is though, it will try to fire after the starter has stopped turning. the igniter has only 3 wires attached to it, can't find a fourth wire that the chilton's manual has in the picture. I have replaced, plugs, wires, rotor cap and rotor. The ignition coil will fix it, but it wont last long

 

Hint: ALWAYS do a full ignition tune up BEFORE replacing a blown ignition coil.

Wires: Not all Civics get the tachometer signal from the distributor.
