Default Help

So I have this 95 civic DX .cold start is fine .the minute it gets warm it starts to choke out around 30mph when i stop or let it sit to long at idle or when it's warming up it just dies. Then it usually won't start until it cool . If it does, it's because I cranked it over till the battery almost dies .them when it does it blows thick white smoke If I put it in nuteral it sometimes helps at idle but mostly does nothing. Check engine light comes on to .I've replaced tps, map, plugs, and battery. I my obd1 doesn't look like what I keep seeing so I'm pretty sure Im looking at the wrong thing .I don't want to spend anymore until I can check codes .need it running asap .got a lady and 1 year old at home and I can't get to work

This is all I see that looks similar and it's plugged in so....

It's on the side of the blower, possibly taped to the harness, it's a blue plug. It might be one of the two dusty black electrical taped bits of harness in your picture. Can't see the plugs on the ends in your pic.

The connector may be tucked behind the ECU.

The blue wires are for your blower motor... not even close to what you need.

The service connector will be tucked up behind the back of the glove box. Since that area is so dusty in your car, chances are good the service connector has never been used, so you will likely find it still inserted into the green rubber service connector holder found about 3-4" up from the bottom of the dash... start where you see the wiring in the top right corner of your posted photo and look up from there.

The wire colors will likely be brown and green... and I think the green wire has a white trace.

So what is the blower for? My heater? And is it the two wires on the left of the harness leading towards my glove box?

The blower motor is the FAN that blows through your vents... regardless of whether your temperature control is set at cold or hot. The "OFF, 1,2,3,4" slide switch controls the blower motor. The plugs in your new photo above are still NOT what you are looking for... so keep looking. They may be sleeved in green for that model year with blue plugs at the end, in which case the service plug would have a black wire (not a green one) and a brown wire. They may also be wrapped in foam tape around a larger harness bundle if they have never been used.

The dead giveaway here is that the ends will NOT be plugged into anything.
