Default OEM Driveshaft

I know that the OEM Type R driveshafts are discontinued, but even the GSR axles are now too! What does everybody do when you need to replace an axle? I would not like to go to Autozone or Advance Auto..

Take your OEM cores and trade them in at Raxles. Those will last you forever! Stay away from the temptingly economic chinese made axles, they have a lot of reliability issues and can also get stuck in your transmission/intermediate shaft due to poor c-clip design.

Looking at the parts sites, it appears the only OEM axle available is a 97 Integra LS passenger side axle, that is an OEM reman. Odd that there isn't a drivers side.

How much are the raxles? I heard the price went up a few years ago? After a botched suspension job, my original OEM axle was replaced with a raxle and the price was reasonable, but friends told me the price significantly went up

Damn, the 97 LS passenger is actually a pretty good price! I wish I saw that before... I ended up paying $220 from Raxles (I only need the passenger side). Still, this may be the better path because who knows who did the re-manufacture for that 06443-ST7-508RM part. Also, my guess is that if you order it you will get an email back saying that it is now discontinued and they will cancel your order. That is what happened to me with the GSR axles.

220 isn't that bad at all. I believe I paid 180 for my passenger side and got it next day because Raxles was also located in Florida.

I bet the reman axle has the same stiff requirements like the OEM reman steering rack, the only acceptable core is an OEM unit, etc. But that 97 LS axle has been on the parts page since 2014ish. I nearly bought it then, but went with the raxle. Its just odd that that one year and trim level has an axle available...
