look at my broken motor mount
i just got my es motor mounts and i went to install them
all was going great until i got the mount off and i see this

that bites...
its cracked....it goes all the way through
since i am still under warranty and i think my auto tensioner is out imma have them replace it
i assume there is nothing wrong with driving like this for alil while?

What's up with Honda OEM motor mounts? Got 2 out of three (front, driver's side) at 100k miles, and they want to rip apart already at 108k miles. Do we need to get the polyuretheane Energy Suspension inserts to get a little more reinforcement?
Okay so it's broken....say you didn't have warranty...wouldn't the ES inserts fix the problem anyway?
BTW you're gonna love tracking down all the rattles in your dash after the mounts go in

y bother leaving it broken

But for me if I'm dropping a motor in, I don't have time to locate another mount...
Yeah I am pretty sure the es inserts would be sufficient to "fix" the broken mount. No need to get it replaced unless it's just peace of mind.

Just put the ES mount kit it.... i have broken front and rear mounts, but the kit will tighten it all back up, don't spend money on a new mount..
yah the mount can be completely broken and the es mounts wont let it move so it doesnt matter. enjoy the rattles when your done! i got them and i dont mind the slightly more shaky idle....

i filled the mounts in my old accord with fiberglass bondo when i put the h22 in ..... it was cheaper and seemed to work really good..... the motor didnt move at all. i had to up the idle to 1000 cause it vibrated the car so bad

fiberglass bondo?... hmm... interesting....
rattle rattle rattle... i wish i could adjust my idle to 950rpm. seems that the car doesnt resonate so bad at that speed with the mounts in. Anyone know how i could do that (the TB idle adjust wont go that high, anything out of spec and the idle is unstable, must be sensor conflicts when out of spec rpm range)?
oh yeah, this helped me out with my mount install, BTW be SURE you've got 1'+ extension for your breaker bar, you'll need it. unless you car doesnt have an engine like satan...

How difficult is it to replace motor mounts, on a scale of say, 1-10? I need to replace my front driver's side mount. Learning to drive manual on the car wasn't exactly good for it
have the stock mount copyed at a machine shop and have them make the hole completely round( Get a urathane one from hasports tell them you have the older ef mount kit and need a replacement bushing there like 10 bucks) I think there close to the same thickness. No more cracking rubber mount!!
