Default Are my winter tire rims unsafe? Pics inside

As you can see my rims are not flesh on the hub. the guy pitting my tires on said this can make you have issues and is not safe. I just wanted to get someone else's option on the matter. I've no issue getting new rims if I need too.

I have the same situation with my 2006 Civic. Bought some steelies for winter off another make and model car. U can get hub rings to take up this gap if it bothers you. My fiance runs this setup 100 miles a day for 2 winter's with no problems. Mark sure lugnuts are seated and torqued.

There is nothing unsafe about a non-hub centric wheel... in fact, most aftermarket aluminum wheels are not hub centric directly... they rely on the use of a hub centric ring to take up the gap. At worst, you may get some wheel/tire vibration unless your wheel balance is really good.

To help reduce vibration when the hub ring is not present, you can torque all the lug nuts with the wheel off the ground. This helps the lugs center the wheel forcing a lug centric method of centering the wheel.
