Replaced ELD, now won't start!
I replaced the Electronic Load Detector (ELD) using a DIY guide and set of photos in another Forum. The process requires removing negative battery cable, all bolts & screws in engine fuse box and pulling up the mid-depth layer of the box, into which the fuses plug. After reassembling the fuse box and reconnecting the battery cable, I tried to start the car. I find that when I open the door, no lights show on the instrument panel, like from "door open" and no courtesy lights come on. Also, the remote is not tripping the lock/unlock relay. I can turn the key, get some panel lights and can crank the starter, but it won't catch. There is no green Immobilizer icon.
I pulled apart the engine fuse box again and notice that the Main/EPS double fuse (100A/70A) has 2 screws but the middle terminal does not plug into any connector down inside the box! If this is 2 fuses, surely it needs three terminals.
I did tug the main wiring harness, but there is no unused connector and I can't believe that it wouldn't have been part of the one, main harness coming into the box.
Does anyone have any help? Thanks!
