Default 91 EF DPFI no spark

So... my 91 DPFI civic died on me when I was waiting for traffic light. The motor was very hot...

The guy towed my car told me could be a fuel pump cuz he didn't hear fuel pump on... I believed him cuz my car when cold always took a few crank to start..... It is a rebuild motor.. And when it's running on highway, when pushed a little hard the motor stall and ECL is on.... Could be not enough fuel pressure causing it.

So yesterday I when thru all the trouble replaced the fuel pump... The engine cranks but no start... There is no spark! I ruled out main relay by bypassing it...

I took the ECU out, everything on the PCB looked pretty clean, no burn marks or anything....

Now what should I check? Is there any fuse that is related to ignition? Or maybe it is a bad distributor? It's an Ebay distributor?

Can i buy a distributor from autozone and then return it if it is not what causing the issue?

Or should I pinout the wires from distributors to the ECU making sure there is no open lines?

No spark, but you started to troubleshoot the main relay and fuel pump? Where are you going with this!?

There are several fuses related to ignition. Check them all with a multimeter regardless. You can also check the distributor cap and rotor, spark plugs, resistance check the plug wires and ignition coil, and perform a test on the igniter unit (ICM).

You don't have to blindly replace parts if you can diagnose things. Ignition isn't TOO complex.

If you dont have spark on any of the plugs (start there first), I would go right to the coil and check that. If no spark there, make sure you are getting voltage from the igniter. I would bet it is the coil or the igniter. Don't over think it and never throw parts at it.

Igniter is the large white wire? It should always be 12V when ign is on?
