I need help on my 91 honda accord. i have engine rattling when car is in drive and brake is engaged. for example when I come to a stop sign it rattles the whole car. any suggestions on what may cause this? thank you in advanced

 

Is the check engine light on?

Is the engine idling rough, almost stalling? If it is, when was the last time a tune up was carried out?

Did this just happen over night or progressively get worse?

Start with checking your engine mounts

 

When mine did that, it was ball joints and control arm issues, along with hub assembly (wheel bearing). Jack her up and wiggle the wheel on the side where vibration is coming from, and you'll feel the looseness. Not good to drive like that. Catastrophic loss of control can happen if that wheel comes off. Bad stuff.
