17CL-14VN Front Brake Slide Pin questions (94/95 Civic Si ABS)
Does anyone know why Pin A and Pin B are different part numbers (pictured 13 and 18 below)? They look the same to me... but it could be the case that my pins were both changed to be identical. Also, the bolts that go in them (part 15 below) are supposed to have 14 mm heads, correct? On my passenger side brake caliper I noticed that the top bolt has a 12 mm head although the thread, pitch and length is the same as the bottom bolt which has a 14mm head (it can go into the pin A or pin B)

You sure they are 12mm? Both top and bottom on my driver side are 14mm.
The rear top and bottom bolts are 12mm, I’m pretty sure on all 5th gen Civics. The front calipers changed from 16CL to 17CL and I believe the bolts changed to 14mm. Would be good to know because I find it hilarious then that the last guy who did pads on my front drivers side lost both bolts and used 14mm ones.

Any one else know what the difference between the top and bottom pin (Pin A and Pin B)? Can anyone else confirm that the head size is 12 mm. I know that the 5 lug knuckles and brakes use 14 mm head, but I still find it odd that my 94 RS front driver side had 14 mm heads in both.
Unfortunately the OEM parts catalog does not give head sizes, only thread diameter and length.

Just for the heck of it, I went into Advance Auto Parts and asked for a caliper pin and bolt set for the 17CL-14VN caliper (94-95 Civic ABS) and the pins were both identical. The bolt head was also 14mm and not 12.
Any one want to check their OEM set and confirm this? Parts catalog is still baffling me with Pin A and Pin B
