2013 and up HONDA ACCORD and CVT issues
Hello Everyone,
I am an auto dealer that has been selling HONDAS and TOYOTAS only since I can remember. A major issue happened when Honda converted from the 5-speed auto trans to the CVT which makes me very nervous. I have sold NISSANS in the past until 2004 when basically everything converted to the CVT transmission. I have a huge clientele base simply off the fact that I'm a dealer who doesn't just sell or finance any junk that falls of the back of a tow truck. However, my clientele are getting worn out with the 8th. Generation (2008-2012) and are starting to ask for the 9th Gen. (2013 and up) Any comments on knowledge of these CVT's would be helpful and gratefully appreciated.
For Example: stay away from certain years of CVT's or certain models
Does anyone have any recommendations about this as to it applies to the 2012 and up CIVIC as well which is another big unit I sell due to the gas millage as well as reliability.
Thanks and I look forward to your response.

I don't think there's any known issue with these CVT transmissions like there was in the early 2000s. I would tell your clients to change their CVT tranny fluids with OEM Honda fluid every 30k miles to prevent any issues in the future.
