Default I suguest everyone reads this thread

https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=329307&page=1 pics on page 3

this is the car accident i was in on friday. i was a passanger in this. this accident is a direct result of excessive speeding and control loss of a vehicle.
Please wear your ******* seatbelt. dont speed when possible and dont put yourself or others in this situation.
how i walked away from this is beyond me. I thank God i am still here. I pray this doesnt happen to you.

you will not survive this type of accident in your 4th gens let alone any honda for that matter.

My prayers go out to those in the crash. Everyone makes mistakes at one time in their life, it would be a shame if they were seriously hurt because of one mistake. Be safe and I hope the driver recovers.

ty much.
i want to clarify that im not doing this for simpathy sake. i want to make you all aware of what happens when you lose control of a car @ 140mph. what happens is you die. and thats what it looks like. some how we didnt die. some how the driver and i have the same injuries yet our builds are completely different. some how we only have sore muscles. some how neither one of us hit out airbags and had our faces broken by them.

learn from what happened and dont let it happen again.

good to hear you are alive. here in san diego, many have died this year to racing. its kind of getting out of hand over here. it sucks. the spectators even got hard laws here now.. the laws of spectating at the runs is $1000 or 6 months in jail. i guess my city is looking to really curb street racing.

hey that's really great and all that you're alright.
but spare me/us on lecturing about what could happen at 140. i personally am smart enough not to go that fast.

unfortunately this is a lesson that many people need to learn themselves, sometimes with far worse results.

you must be someone special for God to spare you in an accident like this.

Glad everyone is OK. When I was 17 or 18 I did around 145, now I never go over 75-80 on the freeway. Your right about the 4th gen it would be toast, that is why my wife drives a Volvo. And I'm from San Diego so I know what PSIKOTICcrx
is talking about the stricter rules and all, but I think it sucks that the politicians and police just don't get it, they make the laws stricter instead of trying to make a legal race track here. Kids are going to illegal street race no matter what the consequence, because they have no other option. They could build 20 houses on the land it would take for a 1/4 mile, and that is what they chose to do, and now people are dying all the time. And it's usually not the racer that dies, but the Mom and kids in the van that gets T-boned. Well, at least a couple more people have learned the lesson the hard way, especially when your insurance bill(if you can get it) is higher than any car payment you'll ever have.

Yeah until some other *** hole is doing 140 and hits you doing the speed limit. He was just trying to give people a little insite here. You may never speed on the street but there are many people who do. If even one of them makes a descission (sp) to stop doing reckless **** from this it's worth it no matter how much Flaming Al might receive. Tortex again glad your ok and maybe sometime this spring we'll hook up at a meet and I'll get the full story in person.

Glad your ok man. My brother had a real bad wreck in his CRX about 2 months ago. He was also speeding on the freeway about 120. He hit the guardrail and flipped over. His car was totaled as well and only God know how he walked away from that without anything broken. Like I told him, God has bigger plans for you, make him proud and be smarter.

thank you very much for your kind words of suport. This wasnt a result of racing. this was a result of controll loss at high speeds. This was a result of stupidity for driving that fast in the first place.

Sure i'll spare you a lecture. if you dont want to hear it fine. hopefully you wont ever be in the same situation as me. Mabey the reason you wont get hit by someone making a stupid mistake is because that person read this thread and took time to stop and think about what their doing before they do it.

I am by no means making you give a **** about me or the events that took place. But i do ask that you give a **** about yourself.

I challenge anyone hear to look me in the eyes and tell me they never recklessly broken the law on a public highway.

It's simple if you want to drive fast well more power to you. Just don't risk other peoples lives in the process. They do not get a vote when your foot goes to the floor.
well said.
