1997 Accord lx advice
Hello everyone,
so I have this 97 accord that I got from my father and i really like it. I went through the phase of wanting to hook it up but now I just want to keep it in a good condition.
I'm looking for advice on what to change/replace. I'm looking for a better and smoother performance. I'm not necessarily looking for like engine swap or anything but someone suggested I start with the suspension.
I'm not a full time employee or anything just a part time so I dont have money to do the high end stuff. Looking to save some money monthly and get parts like that.

I have a 94 LX and have done all my maintenance myself the last few years. I can tell you a few of the things I've done and keep an eye on as far as just maintaining the car in good condition. Search around the forum to see what other people have done.
I had my front struts changed at ~150K and rear ~175k
clean EGR valve/ports
clean PCV valve
clean throttle body, IACV and FITV
check all steering/suspension boots for cracks/tears - steering, outer tie rod, lower ball joint, upper control arm front and rear, CV inner and outer boots
change timing belt, tensioner, water pump and all seals under the timing belt cover every 80k miles with OEM parts
keep an eye on all oil seals, the distributor seals (two in there) will cause oil to get on components such as the heater hoses, which will then have to be replaced
if you remove the rocker arms to change oil seals do a valve height adjustment
replace the radiator with an all aluminum one, replace the mechanical thermostat
follow the manual for all fluid changes
replace ignition components with OEM parts, I've done wires (check resistance 1st), plugs every 30K, cap and rotor
check for fuel system leaks, at the injectors, fuel rail, filter and hose - I had to change injector seals
replace O2 sensors with OEM
I just had a clutch hydraulic hose burst so I changed that and all of the brake hoses
I had some issues after flushing the steering system, I would recommend changing the volume in the reservoir multiple times vs running the system dry
