Default Sourcing a Prelude (5th Gen) - Mileage Suggestions?

Greetings.

I'm considering a 5th gen Prelude (97+). Base model most likely - I think I'd rather add a LSD than opt for the SH model.

Despite Honda's legendary engine reliability, any thoughts on what would be "too many" miles? 200k+?

Mostly interested in unmodded (engine and exhaust) and fairly well maintained.
I am thinking of adding a turbo at some point, but relatively low boost - 8, maybe 10 lbs.

Thanks

I'd look for the best chassis you can get/afford. Replacement engines are cheap if need be.

I have mine up for sale, just getting ready to put it up for sale here. I just have to get out to the garage and take the certified honda-tech picture to meet requirements before i list it in the marketplace. Been stored every winter, never seen snow or salt. only 130k and im the second owner.

Thanks guys - anything particular to look for with the chassis?

And for the Erie post - I'm in Ohio (for now ) Hoping to find something around here. Most have 180k+ miles and care seems fairly questionable.

When it comes to one of these H series engines, what's most likely to fail first (assuming no forced induction)?

Since you're wanting to boost it you definitely want to stay away from the SH models. The ATTS units do not like any additional power over stock and will fail. Plus the block is a different casting than a normal H22A4 so you cannot use a normal H/F series transmission with one.
