Default Brake System Light On

Hey guys I'm new here, was hoping you could give me some advice.

So, let me get straight to it.
I have a 2009 Honda Civic Hybrid with 93k miles on it.
It was leaking brake fluid inside on the pedals so I went out and purchased a used master cylinder with the brake booster as well.
Turned out the master cylinder I got had a different type of filaments and the brake lines were too big to fit in and screw on properly so I put the old one back in but left the new brake booster as I am thinking it's there where it is leaking from and not the actual master cylinder.

My problem is now that the Brake System Light is on and I bled all the brakes including the the one on the brake cylinder/booster.

Does not brake at all. Does anyone have any advice? I don't have a tester.
