Hello. I have an '02 Honda Accord. It will not even try to turn over when I turn the key. After trying to crank, the starter motor continuously makes a whirring sound like it's spinning. It does this even with the ignition off/key out. The only way to make the little starter motor stop making that sound is to disconnect the negative battery cable. I'm thinking it's an electrical issue, but any insight would definitely be appreciated.

Hey I had the same issue, changed the starter and the battery, turns out afterward it was the battery that was completely dead, Hindsight is 20/20.
Change the battery and it's wires if you can, if not try replacing the starter.
