Default Car theft attempt

hello - Someone tried to steal my 99 honda accord, but was unsuccessful. Now my car won't always start unless I play with the locks. Does anyone know how to do a reset?

What was damaged? Key cylinder? Wires?

Absolutely nothing, that I can tell, as I caught him in the act.

The question is, what was he doing to try and steal your car?

So I was at the movie theater and I come out and see this guy getting into my car. The window was not busted, so he either jimmied it (although the rubber looks just fine) or used some sort of key in the lock. When I tried to start the car it would not start; cranked, but did not start, so I flipped the electric locks to lock and unlock (because that worked on my old buick, once upon a time) and the car started right up. I thought everything was fine for about a week. Again, the car would not start. I flipped the locks, and it started right up. Now I am worried. It doesn't happen again for a couple of days. Put the key in, the car cranks, but won't start. So I take the key out, wait a few seconds, put the key in again, still doesn't start. I flip the locks. It starts. Could be a coincidence. So I check under the hood. All connections seem to be fine, the battery, the spark plugs, the starter. It happened one more time today. Flipped the locks, car started right up. So I am thinking there might be some kind of reset that I need to do/can do. Before I go spend mucho dinero I don't have at the mechanics to find this problem.
