Default Criuse control does not work

I just bought my first car which is a 2001 Honda civic ex. When I got the car the cruise control did not work. The Master switch lights up when you press it but when you go over 25 mph and hit the set switch it does nothing. I my brake lights work so the brake switch works (correct me if i'm wrong). I jumped the clutch switch still did not work. I'm pretty sure the set switch works, also the actuator does too. So I'm pooped. So some help would be appreciated.

There are TWO clutch switches... one low on the pedal that deactivates the cruise control when the pedal is even SLIGHTLY depressed and one that is at the top of the pedal which limits starting the car unless the clutch pedal is completely depressed to the floor. You need to be focused on the lower switch location. When you said you "jumped" the clutch switch... remember that completing this circuit may be doing the same thing as the switch opening when the pedal is slightly depressed. I cannot remember if this particular switch is normally open or closed when depressed, so your attempt to "jump" the switch may not completely rule out a switch failure.

Also look at the throttle body to make sure it’s hooked up just an idea...

There is also a cruise control fuse, and IIRC a relay in the engine bay (don't quote me on that) but make sure it's not electrical. Also, clockspring- does your horn work? Is the SRS light off? If you said no to either of these it could be a clockspring problem./ Hell, it could STILL be a clockspring problem.
