Default 2002 Honda Accord EX 6 Cyl . Burning Smell & Leaking Power Steering Fluid

i've been smelling a burning smell with my car recently. i have to replace my power steering fluid (using ATF instead) every few days due to leaking somewhere.

Could this be the cause of the smell? what is the best way to determine if it's the pump or a hose making the smell, or if it's even that causing the smell?

any help or guidance to a youtube video to assist would be appreciated.

Spray ATF on a hot exhaust pipe and you'll get the smell you're smelling. Fix your power steering system and you should be good to go.

check the hoses for leaks, then look over the pump itself.

it appears to be on the exhaust towards the back of the engine, closest to the windshield, so when i pop the hood, i can see the smoke (not fire smoke, appears to be exhaust burn smoke) it comes up between the engine and the windshield, would that still possibly be the power steering hose?
