why do my D indicator on dash board is blinking, even if i am on shifting gear such as park, reverse?

 

It means your car has found a fault in the transmission. Go to a place like Autozone, and they will scan your car for free and tell you what the code is and what it means. Try not to drive it hard. It may just be something simple, or it may be the trans starting to go out.
