Default Should I get new bumpers or repaint factory bumpers for my integra?

Hi Everyone!

Wondering what your thoughts are regarding getting new bumpers vs having my factory bumpers repainted. I purchased an original owner 4dr GSR. Unfortunately, the front and rear bumpers have scuffs and paint chips from being parked on city streets. I would like to keep it as stock as possible and as close to factory as possible. I was wondering if there is a benefit to keeping everything original. Any input is appreciated. Here are some photos.

I don’t see any reason those can’t be fixed with paint. I think the key here is fitment, nothing else fits like OEM Honda.

Absolutly, the OEM bumpers fit like a glove and everything else will not.
When you get yours repainted don't cheap out, because the bugs and rocks will mess up a cheap paint job.
Body shops should use "flex" in their painting process, which is very difficult to polish. In turn this makes the paint harder and much more resistant to pitting/chipping.

Also, aftermarket bumpers don't have the "integra" on them like OEM bumpers so keep that into consideration too. I would just pay a bodyshop to fix the OEM bumpers.

Very true, they don't have Integra on them. The lines will not match, and you'll regret it like I did. I bought a used OEM bumper and painted that. Your bumper needs some body filler and a paint job, that's all.

Thanks for the suggestions. After much thought and your inputs, I’m definitely going to find a good body shop and have them repaint the bumpers.

Just for clarification. New polyurethane paints/clears do not use or require a flexible additive for the bumpers. That would be for single stage/enamel/lacquer paints, which you don't want on your bumpers. I want to say Honda hasn't used single stage since the 80s. 94-00 Integras are polyurethane 2 stage.
