The radio display works, tuner works, cd player loads but no sound.
Sometimes the speakers would pop and the stereo would go silent.
I'm interested in hearing if anyone else has had this problem.
Any recommendations, or guidance is appreciated.

 

Sounds like you need a new radio, probably cheaper than replacing it. Verify your speakers actual work, too. Take it to a car audio shop, they'll be able to nail it down. If your car has an amplifier, that could also be the culprit
