Default Advice on fluids 01 GS

Picked up a 01 integra gs 5 speed over the weekend with intentions of running it hpde events. I am working on the boring general maintenance before getting to the good stuff. Right now I am flushing the fluids as I do not know how long they have been in the car and have a few questions.

Planning:
-torco mtf for the transmission, is this
torco mtf torco mtf
the correct one? There are a few on Amazon.
-Motul 600 brake fluid (like that its everywhere if I need extra)
-Power steering fluid - Is there a better version or just stay oem honda?
-Oil Mobil 1 5w-30

-Synchromesh is the best I've used in a Honda trans so far
-Motul 600 is good
-I'd say what you've got is fine for PS fluid
-Oil: Rotella T6 has been good to me, is cheap and stocked everywhere

I've tried the RTF- third gear was notchy, and wouldn't go into 1st well when cold. Tried Royal Purple gear oil- 5th gear was notchy. Tried GM Synchromesh for a 24 hour endurance race, 3,762 gear changes were smooth as butter.

Old Honda transmissions are super sensitive to gear oil. I actually got tired of having weird stuff happen so I now use Honda MTF. It shears down more quickly than the performance oils so I change it every two or three race weekends.

the P/S reservoir on my GSR says use honda power steering fluid..i can get it for like $4 a quart at the local stealership so i just run it. its the same price as the generic import p/s fluid you can get @ autozone

i put the honda MTF in my integra but im running GM synchromesh in my ep3 ..no problems whatosever.

I found torco mtf too notchy for me, it wasn't bad, but something to consider. Syncromesh has been working well for me

Any chance you tried Synchtotech MTF? I heard it’s a blend of the two. Also have a link to Syncromesh?

rule of thumb is you run the trans fluid your diff requires. if you have a stock diff, keep it with stock fluid. if you are having a 3rd gear grind, check your tq mounts first (if they are old and dead it will cause this to happen) and then if it still happens fix your trans. thicker fluid is just a bandaid and will cost you more in the long run.

I was running M1 oil for my DEs but as my speed picked up so did my oil temps. something to be aware of as you keep moving up the ranks. get a cooler and/or invest in better oil

Synchrotech MTF is the same as Torco MTF. They sell it under the Synchrotech brand name because that's what their MFactory branded diffs like.

Torco MTF and RTF are great choices if you are going to be doing HPDE events. RTF tends to be a little notchy when the transmission is cold and works ok when it's hot outside and your engine is up to operating temperature. But at the track is where RTF shines.

I've run the Amsoil Syncromesh fluid for a few years and car shifts like a dream. Motul 5.1 or 600 Brake fluid will be great for HPDE. For oil Mobil 1 is fine, but if you want to jump up a notch I would recommend running the Motul Sport line. They make a 5w40 Sport which is slightly better than the 8100 series, but either are a step above Mobil 1 in terms of lubrication.

Is this the right fluid? https://www.amsoil.com/shop/by-produ...n-fluid-5w-30/ I love amsoil and usually run it in all of my cars.
