oil pans not the same???
I have a b16a2 I'm in the process of building and needed a oil pan, i got a b18b oil pan for $30 and washed it with a part degreaser and it ended up eating all the paint off it becusse the guy at advance auto sold me the wrong stuff super pist but life goes on. I got my return on the degreaser, but now I only have access to b20 oil pans at my laval scrap yard and I've been reading that they are the same but they are not! on the inside of the b20b oil pan is different than the b18b can I still use the b20b one on my b16? I really feel that I should have one off an ls.. any thoughts?
Oil Pan:
- B16A2 and B18B are both 11200-P30-010
- CRV B20 is a 11200-P3F-000
Oil Pump Strainer:
- B16A2, B18B and B20B are all a 15220-P2T-000
So you'll need a B16A or B18B oil pan and a B16A2, B18B or B20B strainer.
FYI, new pans from Honda are ~140 bucks online. This is one part I'd absolutely recommend to get new. The mating surface will be straight and true and the oil drain hole won't be stripped out. Buying a used oil pan is not worth the hassle it will cause you.

this is good info thanks you! I was told a b16 strainer is different than the crv and integra ones but I talked to the guy at honda and figured it out
I would have got a new one but I dont have alot of money at the moment, got a used one for $30 cleaned it and painted the outside with high temp paint
