Default Omni tach in 89 CRX? Why wouldn't it work?

Wondering what needs to be done for it to work. My guess is just rewiring like you would need for a 90-91 cluster. My cluster is in great shape and this is much cheaper than an edm/jdm/ukdm ef cluster with a 9k tach. Going to swap an H in soon and I'd like to shift at 9k, most clusters stop at 8k.

I know nothing about Omin brand tachs.
It would seem they are all pretty much the same though - power, ground, tach signal and you are in business.

What makes you think it does not work?

It says only for 90-91 cars. Pretty sure they're pinned differently which shouldn't be a big deal as you described. Not sure if the gauges are shaped differently though, I know the clusters are.
