I have D16z6 and I need to know if I can put a D16y7 alternator on it?

if the mounting points on the alternator are the same then yes. Most alternators are pumping the same voltage for Hondas. If you're brave enough you can even swap the inside components to your old housing.

The mounting is the same. The 4-wire plug may be different though. OBD1 has a round plug. OBDII has a square plug. Obviously you can't interchange them.
