new key with out the key tag (code)
we lost our main key for honda crv 2012 and only have the spare .. we cannot find the "key tag" which they say you need to get a replacement .. I guess it has a code.. can I get a new key without the code

Dealer may be able to help you w/ your VIN #.
BTW, you posted in a section for '92-'95 Civics, not for '12 CRVs. You will likely get better help in CRV section.
