Will 205 60 R14 Rub????
I am getting my car lowered on Tuesday and have a chance to get some 205 60 r14's for $100.00....will they rub? I did a search but the 4 threads were about 15's or 16's not 14's.....I'm not dropping it more then 2 inches if that helps and using stock CRX rims.. Thanks.
You should be alright. Im pretty positive that it wont rub on the fender lip, but you might have some rubbing taking sharp turns in side the fender well.
Ummm....I'm not so sur I want to get these now. Some say rub some say no. I think I'll go with 195 60 14's just to be safe unless I can work out a deal with the tire guy that if they rub, he'll take them off and give me smaller ones...but I don't think that will happen.

I think it will rub.I saw an accord with this size tire at stock heighth and they looked like lowrider tires because the stuck out so much.A 185 or 195 at the most on those rims man.
Don't get 195s... I have 195s and they made the car lose 'feel' during turns... kinda floppy-like
Plus 195/60R14 is bigger (ie taller) than 185/60R14 by a hair...

i had that size tire setup a while back and if you dont want to rub, lower your car about 1.5" because if you hit a dip while youre turning...your fender wont forgive you....

So does 205/50/15 rub? or just depends on how much your lowered?
It depends mostly on tire width and rim offset.
Stock CRX rims are a +45 offset , and you should be able to put up to a 205 on there at stock height. With a 2" drop, getting away with a 205 is still easily possible, but if you are turning and hit a moderate to major bump, you'll likely get some rub on your inside front wheel. Don't worry about rub during normal steering. It won't happen with that rim/tire combo.
CRX Gator:" bro your wrong...stock offset is 45...plus you can barly get a 205 on a stock 14x5 inch rim...for a 215 you would need at least a 5.5 inch wide rim..."
Thanks for the correction.

A 205/60/14 is taller than a 205/50/15. Not only will you rub, but you'll also kill your handling and gear ratio.
Stay away from those tires.

id get a 195/55/14 or a 205/50/14, but for that size you should get a set of hx rims since they are 5.5 inch wide...where as the stock is 5, and will be hard to get off...

205/50/15, or better yet for an EF, 195/50/15 as suggested.
