Default Any knowledge appreciated

I was just scoping out my engine as usual to see if there’s anything unusual and I noticed this wire loose and I’m not sure where it’s supposed to be connected, that is if it has to be connected anywhere. For reference I have a 2000 ek hatchback with a 1.6L 4 cylinder

Wire or tube? Please clarify. The pictures are misleading.

that's a hose, it comes from the firewall. likely connects to the white squareish thing just above and to the left of the two wire connector in the second pic.

Does your car have AC? It might be the drain hose
