All 96-00 B series Manual starters the same ?

Threw a 00 Jdm B20B into my 99 Ex. The starter that came with my Ls Manual trans didnt work. Are all 96-00 B series manual starters the same ? The one that came with my tranny was making a clicking noise when I would try to start it.

Yes, they are interchangeable.

Okay just making sure cause I seen someone say that the b16 starter has more teeth ? Didnt make sense to me, I Figured all 96-00 B series manual starter were interchangeable
