What muffler for JDM type-R in 91 hatch? Let's debate!
What setup would you guys go for?
Here's the info: I have a 91 hatch and will install a 97 JDM type-R engine this winter. I am looking at options for the exaust system. What should I go for? Pre-made catback? Full custom job? All I want is flow, a quiet car and a stock look.

I have an HKS exhaust...nothing beats it for "stock" looks at least...I have pics if you want or its posted on the pics thread, page 8

Call around find a muffler shop that does mandrel bends. You'll save a ton, and get an exhaust made exactly to the spec you want.
After fooling with countless exhausts/mufflers on my Integra, I finally found a muffler shop that could do mandrel bends how I wanted, for a great price. There's not much in the way of exhausts for the EF. I think Thermal is the only one with a decent diameter, otherwise all the others are roughly 2 1/4".
