Default 2000 Civic Low idle and no rpm...Help a man please!!!

😍
Thanks for stopping by to read my cries of sorrow...
Its a 2000 ek ex sadan,b20b that idles low and I have no rpm.
It has a step down with a obd1 p28 ecu.Now the harness I have now HAS been cut/tempered with.Idk the origins of it basically.I did happen to replace the harness today 8/11/18 but now has a low idle.Maybe I missed sometsomething?
The newer harness is in mint condition, unmolested off a 2000 LX 5 speed.CEL light is on but can't get it to read,I also have no cat or resi.

Help me!
Where can I begin to look for the No rpm and low idle issues?
Every answer is appreciated.

I'm surprised it's even running with no RPM being displayed. Usually the rpm signal comes from the crankshaft / camshaft position sensor. Are you sure you remember to plug both back in? Also, if it's idling low but not rough, I'd make sure you plugged your IAC valve ( or whatever equivalent your car has ) back in.

2000 civic's get rpm from ecu, you eliminated the obd2b ecu and are now running obd1. You'll need to source another rpm wire. your issue with low idle is now null until you get an rpm to see exactly where its idling at.

What method you used to pull code?

What method did you use to "try" to read code?

OBD1 systems have a tach drive wire from the ICM inside the distributor. This wire only operates the tach, and maybe the ABS and SRS to tell them the engine rpm. OBDII has an output from the ECU to the tach.

The OBDII LX had a 3-wire IACV. You will need to rewire your harness to a 2-wire IACV to run with your engine and ECU.

Since you have an OBD1 ECU, you read codes with the OBD1 jumper wire and count the blinks method. The OBDII plug in your car no longer connects to anything. AudoZone doesn't know anything but plugging in to OBDII, even that they barely know.

Took it to a local shop and they calibrated my TPS.
Some adjustment on the throttle cable and boom all done.
