Tranny fluid into all 4 cylinders
I have a 2003 2.4l Accord that burns a lot of oil. Burns approximately a quart every 800-1000 miles. For the last 2 years been using 10w-30 oil.
Decided to try the following...Added 2 ounces of tranny fluid after removing all spark plugs.
It has been 24 hours and I have let the car sit but have cranked over the engine 3 times for about 10-15 seconds each.
From what I have read about this process, sitting longer is better? Was planning to let sit for 3-4 days, cranking over multiple times per day.
WHen I re-start the car and change the oil should I go back to the recommended 5w-20 or stay with the 10w-30?
Thanks,
C-man

Stick with 5W-20.
Thanks.
I was going to check the dipstick and add a bit more tranny fluid then take it for a 30-40 minute ride.
If I were to let idle as you suggest, how long would you let idle?
Following that, new plugs and oil.
