Icon4 B18B1 Oil leak Help please!

Hello , I am new to the Honda game, this is my first Honda, coming from VWs lol..
Was wondering if anyone could point me to where this oil would be coming from? I already replaced the valve cover gasket because that was leaking as well.. any help would be appreciated !

did you thoroughly cleaned the head/block after the gasket replacement? It's either the distributor O-ring or cam seal plug. But then again, it may be the cheap valve cover gasket you used.

I'd replace the distributor o-ring and cam plug seal. Then clean everything.

My money is on a shitty install of a shitty vatozone gasket. Also can we please stop saying "the honda game"?

haha...that or "Import Scene". In general, if you like to use those two lame phrased, you obviously are modding Hondas just to fit in.

I don't really think I did a "shitty install" of the gasket, it was cheap yes but its a gasket.. lol. Oil hasn't been coming from the valve cover gasket since replacing.

Wanted to mod this Honda to have a cheap project to have fun with haha, not to "fit in".

That's what most people say, and then it ends up on Craigslist after 2 months.
"Getting out of the Honda game....too much to list". LOL

Everything that I have read so far leads me to believe it was more than likely a shitty install. In this case cheap does equal shitty. You already admitted that you dont know where the oil is coming from......

Looks like you got a little aggressive with the RTV sealant! The correct way the install the valve cover gasket is to install a drop of sealant in the lower corners of the cam end caps, not the whole thing, that could lead to the rest of the gasket not seating and also makes it almost impossible to reuse the gasket if you need to pull the cover for any reason. A new cam seal and distributor seal would be recommended, but your probably going to buying a new gasket again after getting sealant happy the first round
