I took my car to a shop since it has a nagging issue I can't figure out. The shop owner is trying to tell me the car won't run/ won't run right without the upper timing cover on.. that's B.S right?

I started arguing with him but he seemed so convinced it was going to catastrophicly fail without that cover.

 

 

the backside of the timing cover is needed, i'm sure he explained why you needed it. you're looking confirmation.

Serious or troll? I honestly don't know the function, other than to keep dirt / debris out of the timing, which seems like a good enough reason to run one.

 

Don't be a stupid ricer, put the timing cover back on.

 

It came from the factory with one, why not call honda up and ask them about that.
