Default d16y8 with y7 block vitara pistons and eagle rods

i got a d16y8 vtec head on my y7 block 98 civic coupe car runs great and pulls nice and linear when cold once hits operating temp it feels really sluggish and slow off the line everythings stock besides pistons and rods just want an idea what it could be map sensor? tps? timing is off? needs tune? any in put is much appreciated

when it's cold. It idles high and runs rich. I think what you're feeling might be normal.

If there's not any check engine lights or anything like erratic idle.

It's probably those pistons since you'll be under 8:1 compression ratio if everything else is indeed stock.
