2007 Odyssey EXL A/C
Greetings. I am new to this forum and am seeking help in regards to my van. I have had A/C work done back in March. My compressor stopped working due to the clutch relay causing to stay engaged, (parasitic draw). We replace the following:
1. Compressor, (Napa TEM)
2. Condenser, (Napa TEM)
3. Front and rear expansion valves
3. everything else that came in the compressor and component kit from Napa
4. I took the blend doors out and cleaned them and replaced the electronic grease.
5. Compressor is properly charged.
6. System was vacuumed
7. New compressor has the correct amount of oil. I asked
8. Work done by a reputable garage, (not a honda dealership).
9. PCM updated per tech bulletin for condenser fan high speed operation, (done at honda dealership).
10. New clutch relay and new fan relays.
Van siting the thermometer I placed in the vent read 69 degrees. 83 degrees outside and low humidity. 25 minute drive home and vent temp only got to 60 degrees. Should have been in the low 40's in my opinion. Been dealing with this for some time now. I am frustrated and the mechanic who did the work is frustrated. The van has been back in the shop 3 times since the initail repair with no measurable results. They evacuated the freon today and it was full. The van simply will not blow cold and the problem is either too obvious to see or more expensive than I can afford at this point. Can anyone off any insight? Thanks in advance.
