Default Self Brake Replacement for Civic & Accord

Hello everybody,

I've been doing some research on replacing my cars brakes over the next few weeks and believe I got the process down (it'll be my first time so I'm sure I'll run into some snags).

Cars:

2012 Honda Accord 4-door EX-L
All 4 Disk brakes
Looking to replace all rotors and brake pads.

2012 Honda Civic 4 door LX
This car has rotors in the front but drum brakes in the back.

I'm basically trying to find out what a good brand is (not looking for top tier performance brakes) to replace them myself. They are driven as regular commuter cars...

Hopefully I posted this in the right area! Thanks for your response(s)

Any brand of rotor is fine. Centric is a well known brand on rockauto. Otherwise, anything your parts store has will work. Buy ones with a black e-coating so they don't get rusty too quickly.

Nothing wrong with pads from the dealer. Probably your best all around pad....I usually use a parts website like bernardiparts or curryacuraparts, etc

Powerstop Z16 or Z17 aren't bad, if you're thinking of aftermarket. They're a small step up in performance compared to stock with no real drawbacks.

Or Akenbono ProACT's. Pretty similar to OEM.
