Default B18B1 Will not stay running

hey guys having an issue with my obd1 ls swapped 96 ek.I was having dizzy issues and cleared them up so the car was running well but was idling pretty badly. i decided to pull the codes and got code 41 which was for the o2 sensor i believe and code 14 for IACV so i pulled the iacv to clean it. Bolted it back on and now im having issues keeping the car running. when started i need to feather the gas pedal to get the rpms up but the response is delayed in the pedal. it only works while feathering it up and down. i started looking for vacuum leaks ny the tb and found that the car runs while spraying brake cleaner near the tb. i could not find any vac leaks so my next guess is something fuel related. i could really use some help because this has me stumped. I have pressure at the fuel rail but i havent tested the pressure out yet. So am i safe to assume that this issue is fuel related?

Did you plug the wiring connector back into the iacv?

When it’s not working at all, it will start when you crank it but immediately die. You might just need a new iacv.

yes i did. im leaning towards getting a new one i just dont wanna start throwing parts at it. im able to get the rpms up if i continue feathering the pedal but itll die if i dont

This is why I’m leaning towards the iacv. Without it supplying air to maintain idle, it won’t run unless you keep the throttle open slightly.

What about the IACV wiring conversion necessary for most EK applications ??? It is unlikely that the problem is actually the IACV itself if you are getting a code for it. What is your chassis trim level ???

Assuming that’s with the intake duct connected, that gasket between the iacv and the intake could be the issue.

its a canadian dx model hatchback. I converted it from 3 to 2 wire eliminating the orange wire from the ecu and iacv and i believe i moved the blue/black wire from a14 to a12 at the ecu

Also changed the o ring at the iacv and no more vacuum leak. Plugged iacv back in and reset the ecu. Set the idle at 800 and everything seems to be fine except the throttle response.

Probably fried the TPS. I think it’s supposed to operate on 5v and you had 12v hooked up to it.

Im not an expert on that part, but that spec seems right. You’d need to run a graph on it.

EDIT: I forgot this was OBD1. So much for running a graph!
