Default Wheel movement normal? (video linked)

Hi all,

2010 Honda Accord LX with 62,000 miles. A couple days ago I took my vehicle into a shop for an alignment and they informed me that the front left wheel bearing needed to be replaced. I had been hearing a humming noise while driving that increased the faster I went but no other noticeable symptoms and the car drove fine. They replaced the bearing; however, it's still making a humming noise that is most noticeable around 40 to 50 mph.

I jacked up the front left wheel of the vehicle (with the other front wheel on the ground) and tried to wobble the wheel with my hands. I noticed a slight wobble at 9 and 3 but no wobble at 12 and 6.The links below the wobble and an inner view of the wheel. Is this amount of play normal, and do you see any abnormal movement going on? How can I tell that I'm not just moving the steering assembly? The humming noise makes me think something is still up with the wheel bearing but I'm also wondering if there's an issue with the tie rods. Again, the car drives fine and no noticeable symptoms other than humming.

Not normal.

1. they probably replaced the wrong bearing,or the noise isnt a bearing at all

2.Something is definitely loose in that video. Better take it back and have it rechecked.

my money is on they replaced the wrong bearing lol

i have to wonder if somehow both bearings were bad and how did they not notice after a road test after replacing the other wheel bearing

or perhaps they never replaced anything in the first place

Shops

Get a bearing press kit and some quality parts and do it yourself. It will save you time and money in the long run.
