Lsd trans problem wont roll in neutral
Hey guys im new to this group i have a 96 ek coupe with a b16a swap and lsd cable trans with a hydraulic slave cylinder kit and a stage 2 clutch and im having a major problem it wont roll but about an 1/8 of a turn in neautral or any gear it just locked up when taking off in traffic it'll go in all gears bit when you let out of the clutch it wont do nothing has anyone ever had this problem? Please i need some help. Thanks
I'm not sure what you are talking about. A LSD partially locks the two wheels together, you have to lift both wheels off the ground to be able to turn them by hand. If you have both wheels off the ground and they won't turn by hand in neutral, check the brakes, e.g. remove the brake calipers entirely. If its not the brakes there is a major problem inside the transmission.
Its not the brakes niether side will roll in neutral but an 1/8 of a turn itll go in every gear just wont go anywhere when you let the clutch out it just happened all of a sudden one day driving
Check the passenger side axle at the transmission end... it could be popped out slightly and this will keep the vehicle from moving while in gear. If you place the transmission in any gear while sitting still and then letting the clutch out while applying gas... the rpm's should go up and the speedometer should also increase as if you were moving... even though you are sitting still. This means that you have an axle popped out or broken.
