Default New Alternator, lights still going off.

Hey all,

Got a 2000 Accord four-door with 190k miles
here having a bit of trouble.

Back story- The all door open, brake lamp, brake and battery light have been flashing in and out for about two months now. I've checked the battery, alternator and all connections, everything check fine. Kept happening so I had my mechanic check it out with his machines, everything tested fine. He chalked it up to the PCM fuse and disconnected it. Lights still came on but no performance issues, so I kept driving. I take back roads to work and only drive 20 miles a day.

Last Thursday the car shut down in traffic then restarted 30 seconds later... That night she lost power while driving, lights dimmed down and she shut off. Mechanic replaced the alternator.

Yesterday, on the way home from work, the door open lights started to flicker on and off. The maintenance Required light popped on and then off and the rpm needle flickered up and down quickly. Thankfully made it home.

I think its the battery fuse, which I ripped out this morning. It has green corrosion around the metal. I'm currently waiting on the part and was wondering if anyone had the same experience and had some input.

I just got the timing belt and water pump fixed, power steering pump done in the last six months and really don't want to junk the poor car but it needs to give me a break. x.x

Hello,

I just came across your thread as I am experiencing the same issue with my 2000 Honda accord V6. I had an alternator die which I replaced with a remanufactured alternator (bench tested before hand) but still had voltage issues and it seemed to have a bad voltage regulator. I then put in a new alternator and it tested great. Car's acceleration and power came back too. However, I now have these dash lights flickering on/off: battery + doors + e-brake.

I wanted to know if your new battery fuse resolved your issue or if it was something else? Any insight would be greatly appreciated
