Header glowing red??

i was driving my ef for about 15-30 min when I get a weird smell. I go to open my hood and see my the exhaust head with a red “glow”. Any suggestions on what is causing this?

How's the ignition timing of the car? Retarded ignition timing from a bad distributor, or improper mechanical timing can easily cause this condition.

very lean condition

had that happen to my 85 MR2

go for the easy fix first check spark plugs and firing order
might have to do a cyl drop test
