New Front Rotors/Brake Pads - Which Brand To Buy?
Going to buy new front brake rotors and pads for my 02 Accord. Is there anything Rock Auto carries brand-wise that would be recommended or should I stick with OEM Honda? Car is just a daily driver/commuter.
Centric and Stoptech makes a nice rotor for like $30.00 and are painted black in the areas that would normally rust. You can find them on Tirerack.com but may be able to find them cheaper elsewhere online if you get the part numbers. Sometimes you can find a nice rotor/pad package as well.
My choice for brake pads is Akebono. However I would avoid roach auto like plague. Their database is so inaccurate and they will stick you with the return shipment.
Good luck,
Sam

Ever since they dropped actual live person/phone Customer Service, I have been reluctant to order anything from them. Where do you buy from or suggest buying from other than Rock for non-OEM parts?

Believe it or not, Honda dealerships sometimes have good prices on OEM parts. I buy my OEM Honda parts from http://torontohondaparts.com from Canada or if they don't have what I'm looking for I go to hondapartsdeals.com out of the US.
I have been able to get an online price at my local dealership when the prices are close.

I like centric rotors, forget which brand of pads, maybe stop tech. Whats the issues with Rock Auto? I have had a few things that didn't fight right, I just assumed that was more so an issue of it being an aftermarket part.
